Calling out

This morning I sat on the back deck and listened to many sounds of nature.  The bald eagles were quite vocal and so many smaller birds filling the trees with their song.  A hummingbird kept buzzing me and big fish were splashing in the lake, they must be spanning.  A wonderful morning.  

Today is Memorial Day here in the USA and we were planning on having Mom and Dad over for pie and tea in the afternoon, but mom called saying dad was not feeling up to it and was going to bed.  I went over to check on them and dad was working in his shop and then the yard.  I gave them the pie to enjoy.  So hard to know what is really going on.
