Indian Paintbrush
I had a quiet morning then I got myself up to Blair, which is sort of behind Happy Jack. I walked to see what flowers might be around and the prairie and hills were full. There were so many paintbrush flowers I was astounded. It is Wyoming's state flower. My main in looking down at the top of them. There were also small larkspur and a variety of others. It felt so good to be up there with the clouds moving and mostly having the sun shine.
I found a whole treasure trove of colored broken glass, purples, greens and blues and I collected several pockets full. I will keep some but my friend, Jodie, makes jewelry from the prairie glass so I'll give most of it to her.
My extra includes some Larkspur and a bowl full of the glass I collected. Then home to get ready for the week (only 8 days left!) I had time to sit out in the sun and read, chat with my neighbor and practice my fiddle.
A very good day!
