Memorial Day
My Flags are flying for Memorial Day which honors those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Old Glory was also flying but Kent just brought her in as the sun will soon be down.
Kent was out cutting grass this morning and I went over to visit with my sister-in-law, Debbie. She lives all of a 1/2 mile away and yet I haven’t seen her since before Christmas.
By the time she gets home from work I’m usually in my pajamas and on the weekends she is often off singing with the “Celebration Choir”.
I needed to give her both her & my brother’s birthday presents (which have already passed) and she gave me the Christmas present they had for Kent & I. We are shameless!!! No, we just believe in stretching out the joy. :D
After a late lunch of yesterday’s leftovers, we’ve had an afternoon of just piddling about and watching a few interesting Memorial Day related programs on TV as the afternoon has been mixed sun & showers
