Vintage?
Maybe,not but it was certainly old.
It belonged to my father,I’ guessing about 1935.
He had several plate cameras, including an unusual1/4 box box. which had a magazine to hold about 6 glass plates, you wouldn’t want to carry it far. He also had a beautiful mahogany Thornton Pickard half-plate.
The start of the war more or less ended the photographic business except for the odd bit of d&p.
I do feel that it’s a bit sad that budding photographers no longer have the thrill of seeing their first image revealed.
