Bee investigates yellow poppy

I've discovered that there is too much on in the summer months for me to spend every Monday morning at the gym. So today was the first official day of my new Monday routine: laundry; exercise bike; breakfast; supermarket shopping; admin; household tasks and gardening; dinner; television; bath; bed with book; sleep. 

My admin today included emailing interviewees on the Today programme this morning who were speaking about the value of diaries to history (I was keen to tell them about Lorna Lloyd - and I heard back from one of them within minutes), buying sportswear online, and writing a hotel review for TripAdvisor. The household tasks were focused on more sorting. In the garden I found new homes for spent bulbs from the yarden and staked our potato plants.

I have blipped a bee investigating one of the yellow poppies beneath the bay tree in our garden.

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; gardening.
