Tractor full of balloons

The annual Oaks Spring Fair today, up at The Oaks. A smaller event than in past years and a lot more emphasis on eatery outlets, probably a good thing. I very much enjoyed my Thai curry while listening to an excellent guitarist/vocalist who was performing songs from the seventies in the church car park.

I took my little scooter to go down the field, which was a fair distance from the disabled car park. I took it very gradually as I was afraid of the battery burning out. The scooter wasn't made for traversing stubbly fields.

We saw Ann, who was looking very well after her hip replacement just before Christmas last year, with her son Adrian and her granddaughter sitting on one of the wooden benches surrounding the showground. We'd missed the dog show but Ann and co were waiting for the welly wangling, no doubt organised by the Young Farmers of Charnwood. They'd probably organised this tractor too.
