Oh Molly, Sweet Molly...
Mono Monday is here again, and my last day hosting.
I've had a blast reviewing entries, and it's fascinating to watch what comes up from a wide interpretation theme. Absolutely smashing.
Today, I was thinking about what photographers must look like when we're searching for a blip, waiting for the person to be in the right spot, or standing like a sprout pointing a camera at a window, not really knowing what's beyond the glass, wanting that reflection. Like today, standing outside Molly Malones.
I would normally make sure I'm not in shot, but today went the other way, and left myself in deliberately.
For me, cameras make me aware. Most people walk about with the hollow eye, thinking about where they're going, or what they're going to do. Including myself, most of the time.
Camera in hand though, you live in the moment. You see. This is not always a good thing, but on balance it's a blessing, and a great gift to live that moment intensely.
Long live the camera.
