Five Loves of My Photographic Life

I could have saved yesterday's blip idea for today's Mono Monday 'camera' theme. But never mind, I get a chance to show it again, alongside my camera club website, and my camera. I love blipfoto (1) of course as it encourages me to think creatively every day, and I love my camera club (2) too. It's a great club, very friendly, fun, with competitions and trophies too. The two together have helped me improve my photography over the years, in my opinion of course. It helps to have a great camera (3) too. Now and again, today in fact, I post a photo from my phone camera (4), which is also great, though, for me, not as satisfying as creating an image with my 'proper' Sony.

I love editing in Lightroom/Photoshop (5) too. I had an email from a potential speaker the other day which had a strapline something like 20% of the fun is taking the photo, 80% of the fun is the post processing. I wouldn't go that far but I do enjoy the editing process. Notice I have added an overall texture here, which apart from anything else covers up the dust. Well, with all the photography there is precious little time for dusting!

Coming back to the camera club, it's a bank holiday today but I will still be popping out to the pub this evening for the first of our summer meetups.
