Well Dressing Season again

This is a detail from one of the well dressings in the Derbyshire town of Wirksworth - a great place full of interesting corners and buildings. It was once a very important centre of the lead mining industry.
This particular design was made by the Wellspring church in the town, a collaboration between the Baptist and Methodist ministries. The colours are brilliantly vivid and you can make out some of the different materials which have been used.
