Verdant Works, Dundee
We were supposed to take Lucca to Sheila (where we got her) for a trim but Sheila texted to say she had a bad neck and shoulder so will reschedule.
We decided to go to Dundee anyway (minus Lucca) which was our original plan.
We stopped first at our favourite cafe for a coffee, sitting outside and the. Walked the 10 mins to the Verdant Works which is a museum dedicated to the Jute trade of which Dundee is famous for. This building is fabulous! The reason we went was for a National Geographic photography winners exhibition. What a great setting and the photos were amazing.
They also have a fabulous cafe with home baking and very good soup. I can have soup any time of year and we sat outside in the sun and had lentil and ham. Best I’ve had for a long time.
We walked back to the car which was parked near Scott’s the 24 hour bakery which also had an award winning g butchery and bought a few things Including doughnuts for the gang.
Good drive home and a walk with Lucca. Ben sent a photo of a pic he got on the Smiler ride at Alton Towers. (Extras). He left in a coach at 11:45pm a day there and then the coach home at 5pm from Alton Towers. I suppose when you are young it’s not a hardship…. Nowadays I’d be a wreck!
