Up at 4am (yawn) and arrived in Florence! 
After a snooze, visited the Galleria dell’Accademia and marvelled at Michelangelo’s magnificent David … skin, muscle, delicate veins in marble 1501-1504.

I wonder how many photos per day are taken? It was busy! 

Lovely early evening walk along the Arno, then dinner at a (rare) vegetarian restaurant with chilled San Gimignano Vernaccia.
