Peace, Perfect Peace

I was told this was too morbid to blip, but this churchyard at Howick Hall was lovely and peaceful (well, if you discount the fighter jets that screeched overhead at one point from nearby RAF Bulmer), and peace and quiet is something I haven't had much of this week...

Whilst walking round the grounds of the hall we spotted a bird which at first seemed deceased. it was lying on its side on a bush in the sunshine with its eyes and beak wide open and its wings spread out. After a few minutes it sat up then hopped off. Could it have been sunbathing?? I took a photo but unfortunately it didn't come out very well... Just a bit curious to know what it was up to!
