All the nice gals love a tar
We set off at 1030 this morning to catch an early showing of Mission Impossible - Final Reckoning
In my head we would be finished at 130 and back down the road. A bit of housework. A bit of baking .... And then feet up
Hmm film is almost three hours long. It was nearly twenty to three when we got into the car waahhhh
We drove west headed to Clydebank si wanted to have a quick look at HMS Glasgow - she was named this week by the Princess of Wales.
There she was... Sitting there right at the side of the road: just behind a row of houses. So weird.
After we stopped and enjoyed the view and the sheer size of her. We took off again heading for the Erskine bridge, but then we spotted a sign for 'renfrew bridge'. And I remembered seeing a news article about a new bridge
We took the next turning and there is was. In between Yoker and Clydebank and over to Renfrew. Right into the back of the braehead. Lovely
From there we drove into Paisley and checked out The Range. I was looking for a pile of yarn but they didn't have the colours I wanted
Then we drove down to Kilmarnock and popped into Bq cause Si wanted a BIG stick.
From there the Allotment. To drop of the petrol Si bought for the generator.
I walked to check out our plots. And was delighted that everything has totally loved the rain. Everything was growing crazy. Potatoes, sweet corn, peas, berries , salad leaves, rocket, strawberries, onions. My flowers have been decimated. Something. Probably a bad pigeon has bit the head off my cosmos and now has bit every head off a rather attractive blue plant - scabious - which I bought and saved from death. It was looking lovely on Thursday and now...
A stump of headless stems
Also forgot to mention - this beautiful blue sky came and went every twenty minutes. Every other twenty minutes - absolutely pouring down rain. That bucket from yesterday will be full again
