Hail!

D ran thd half marathon today and I seriously underestimated the difficulty in getting to Musselburgh to pick him up. We totally missed his finish, but I'm not sure we would have been able to see him even if we had been there on time.

It did turn out fine (and the weather stayed dry if blustery) and we found him looking fresh and happy in the crowds, before trekking ages back to the car and then driving on very busy roads to get home. At least I got my 10k steps!

In the afternoon it was sunny, and I was just thinking that the bad weather was over when all of a sudden the sky darkened, the wind got up and we had a final shower hail and heavy rain! Haven't seen that for a long time.
