Finished

Today has been a really busy one. I had started on my second deckchair yesterday so wanted to finish it today. The blue paint was thinner than the green had been, but after another coat I think it is ok.

While it was drying I have been gardening. But still the ground elder wins. To the point that the flowers have grown tall above everything else and seem to be mocking me! All I can do is pull the heads and leaves off, because digging them out, would mean digging out my strawberries/astrantia/hydrangeas and whatever else they have found their way into the roots of. I’m aching now, so I’m resting this evening.

When the paint was dry I put the new fabric on and put it back together. It is more solid than the orange fabric and feels more sturdy…I think that will have to be Jon’s chair :-)

Jon has been cutting grass for neighbours plus ours and nextdoor. I managed to plant a few climbing beans, radish and lettuce in the garden, but not until I had cleared a huge amount of ground elder. The rest will go to the allotment and I’ll try to do that tomorrow. Although I’d really like a day doing craft stuff…so maybe not!

Final of The Piano tonight which we really enjoy.
