Tape measures are out...

...it must be competition time again...

( alternative title for the thumbnail - I'd recognise that face anywhere... A similar line occurs in a film - I thought Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - but I may be wrong... It could even be Some Like it Hot...) 

The last Sunday of the month is the petanque melee, and the weather for the most part played ball - just a few sharp showers came through, but you could see the gaps in the clouds so there was never going to be a lengthy downpour.

19 players turned out today, and Roy and I did well, playing separately but both of us winning both our games. I am ( temporarily ) at the top of the league, having won 4 from 4 ;)
