The Blue Bridge

WEDNESDAY

I spent the morning painting the walls in the kitchen.

A trip to Rhyl today to return a metal gazebo I bought yesterday—unfortunately, it turned out to be damaged.

While I was there, I took a walk around Marine Lake and wandered past the “Blue Bridge,” as it is known to locals.

The bridge spans the mouth of the River Clwyd. It opened in 1932 and replaced an old stone toll bridge. It cost £66,000 to build at the time—that’s about £3.7 million when adjusted for inflation.
