Sparrow Nest

Walking out to the marsh something scuttled out just under my feet. I was momentarily confused because it looked like a bird but scurried away like a mouse. Looking down I realized I had come perilously close to stumbling over a nest. I leaned down, snapped a few photos, and backed away to the road so the parents wouldn't be too frightened to return. Looking around a bit, I'm pretty sure the nest belonged to a couple of nearby song sparrows. Checking the field guide confirmed my suspicion. I hope they make it.
