The Siege

I haven't been out today, as I woke up this morning feeling a little unwell. Nothing serious, but most of the family have had a sickness bug, and I think it was my turn today. Feeling better this evening after resting all day, which is good news as we are out to a show tomorrow night and I'm really looking forward to it. 

I thought I would blip the book I'm reading at the moment. Anyone of a certain age will remember this I'm sure. I certainly do. It was May 1980, and hostages were taken at the Iranian Embassy in London. The siege came to a dramatic end after six days, when the storming of the Embassy by the SAS was played out in real time on live tv.

I'm only half way through the book, but it's a great read and gives a very detailed explanation of the events leading up to the hostage taking. I'd highly recommend it.
