In the nettle forest

Along the old church road, there are still the courtyards of three crofts. The crofts themselves have disappeared over time, but the forest has not yet taken over the old yards. Nettles, on the other hand, thrive in these bright forest clearings. Far from traffic, and dog walkers don't often find them here.. We went to pick these clean nettles today for soup.
Nettle pancakes could also be a good idea!
The old well site was still found in the yard.
