Final resting place
But hopefully staying alive . . .
I blipped the repairs to our Anemometer last weekend and was living in hope all was good. Unfortunately there remained an intermittent fault which yesterday I narrowed down to the extension lead. It would seem that the damage to the anemometer had weakened the signal to the weather station, and taking the extension out solved the problem.
Combined with moving the shortened anemometer mast away from the side of the house, in fact clamped to the station’s own pole, has killed two birds with one stone (not that we do kill birds with stones, or anything else for that matter).
The anemometer started its life by the side lawn, moved to beside the back door, and is now situated beside the field back with the station.
Daughter’s birthday today – dinner at the Wine Bar again tonight.
