Valerian

We went down to town today as S. had to pop into his office for some bits. Had an underwhelming coffee and scone on the pier where the greasy spoon cafe is now owned by the local posh hotel group and has gone downhill in a strange way.

The town was oddly deserted for a BH Saturday. A few visitors wandering around and I guess finding it totally lacking in entertainment. We went up to the museum where some shanty singers were performing to a small audience and fpund it rather interesting. The kinder transport exhibits made me cry!

A strange weather day.

Our first guests arrive today in our Argyll house. Nerve racking to know if they will enjoy and give us a good review. We need reviews to get the bookings going.
