Talking heads again

We're on a road to nowhere. I wonder if this it the kind of image David Byrne was thing about when he wrote that song. 
It is a road to somewhere as it's a part of my commute to work. I have taken this shot many times, in snow to February sunsets. 
It's a lovely road, made even better now it's closed to cars due to a weak bridge.
I think it feels American, a road from a road trip movie.
