Here we see the Little Ginger Boy enjoying a relaxing pint and some lively discussion down the Freeman Arms after three weeks hard graft on the Ross Tiger. I don't think this bloke shares his views on the superiority of Minecraft as a recreational pastime. He looks like more of a Grand Theft Auto kind of guy to me.

An interesting visit to the National Fishing Heritage Centre at Grimsby today. A dull sounding name but it was very good and I reckon we can mend nets and gut fish with the best of them now.

It looked an incredibly hard life, at sea for three weeks at a time with just a couple of days ashore in between, working sometimes for three or four days around the clock with no sleep when the catches were good. All this in the freezing conditions of Icelandic seas, hauling, gutting and packing fish in ice for a wage of six pounds a week.

We left with a sense of just how lucky we are these days and reinforced that feeling by wolfing down fish and chips on the seafront at Cleethorpes!
