ROSE TREES

My Roses are starting to perk up &
bloom with enthusiasm. I’ve posted
this Rose in the past, but every year,
it catches me by surprise.

Today is a much better day than yesterday.
Angus, who is 12, is recovering nicely
from a day long trip to the vet. He is losing
a lot of weight, but his blood work is all normal. There are about 10 reasons
why an old dogs lose weight, but none apply.

Yesterday, the vet drugged him into submission to get x-rays, to look for
tumors, heart disease or severe arthritis.
None were found, but a radiologist will
confirm. That’s the good news.

Angus was a mess last night, so groggy,
but so traumatized. It was a rough night.
Today, he is eating like a champ & all his plumbing is working. He is sleepy, but relaxed & perking up as the day progresses.
We even took a very short walk.

I’ve decided: no more cruel & expensive interventions. I will just feed him more
nutritious food, & make every day better than the one before.

And I will find a new, more compassionate vet.
