Smiling for the camera!

This pic of Ronnie on the beach at Weston Super Mare makes me smile, hope it does you too.

Following on from yesterday... Two short train rides and we were in Weston-Super-Mare, glorious blue skies but a brisk wind. After a romp on the beach, it was off to Knightstone Island for lunch at a pavement cafe, with views across to the pier and Brean Down. From there we followed the coastal path north, to the quieter side of Weston, over the causeway where the waves were lapping at the edge of the path, and on to a tiny cove and cafe for ice cream for all four of us, looking across to Steep Holm and kite surfers who were travelling at quite a pace due to the wind. Retracing our steps we stopped briefly at the pier where I just had to go on the 2p machines. Spent 20p, won 24p! On the way back to the station K took a tumble but today her foot is much better so no need for a trip to A&E.

Today, Friday, a busy day of chores in preparation for heading off to visit friends for the weekend. Also spent two hours in the garden hacking back the undergrowth, have filled the green wheelie bin. No time for photography today so in extras scenes from yesterday's seaside outing, including a proud selfie showing off my winnings!! (When I have time the extras will be collaged.)
