The last day of sunshine for a while according to the weather forecasts.
I set off to walk along the riverside route to Waterhead. Where I should have turned right I went left (concentration lapse) so picked up the route by the rugby club.
The police were at Waterhead . . . a car had knocked over a bollard at the edge of a big drop into the water. An enormous recovery truck appeared though the bollard looked more damaged than the car.
Then I played tourist and had a ride on the top deck of an open top bus to Grasmere. I’ve only done that once before and it was from Windermere to Ambleside. Difficult to take photos though and I didn’t want to risk my phone falling over the side. I had a short wander around Grasmere then got another bus back.
No photos stood out so I’ve done a collage of some riverside ones.
