bye bye devizes..

And home cross-country, avoiding all motorways. It was nice. Home at lunchtime, unpacked, now just getting organised for the weekend.
It was a lovely few days. I liked Devizes; it felt just a little old-fashioned, with  cash in use much much more than down here on the South Coast. The pub we stayed in was the absolute heart of the town; busy all day, serving people of all ages drinking & eating from early morning to late evening.
