so on my only day off this week, i am awaken at 9ish am to some loud firecrackers.

"what the heck, it's tuesday morning, it's raining..." and i stumble to take a peek out my windows.

of course, only in china can they have a grand red opening of a mystery business (who knows what this is because all around it is just a field) with fireworks (pollution much?) on a rainy tuesday morning.

i just checked the scene again now (6 hours later) and the balloons, signs, tables and people are all gone. only the red carpet remains. so much for a grand opening huh?
