Alliums in the Avocado

Noticed these two popping up inbetween the larger of our two avocado trees, apparently broadleaf wild leeks, not sure if you're meant to eat any part of them, but they are attractive, and as tall as I am.

Most of the day, working on my "creative idea", trying not to fuss too much, but just do it.

Gratefuls:
- a lovely, long chat with our son early on; his wife returns tomorrow from several weeks away in Scotland, researching fish numbers
- Mike finishing the cupboard for the gas bottle, now outside the house, so needing protection from theft and weather
- finishing Elizabeth Strout's Tell Me Everything, that Ju and Tom brought for me; so perspicacious about life and relationships and how everyone's life is a story worth telling: "Love comes in so many different forms, but it is always love". Highly recommended.
