Lapwing - 56
As they were short of people at the RSPB this morning I opted to cover the whole day rather than just the afternoon. I didn't manage to get out around the reserve and this lapwing was taken from the visitor centre.
It now seems as though there are four spoonbill on the reserve including a breeding pair and it is great to see the avocet chicks doing well after an unsuccessful year last year. There were a large number of know on the main scrape and also a couple of little ringed plover.
