Yummy

I was wondering why the sunflowers were looking so ragged...  and then I saw a Nanday Parakeet climbing onto a sunflower, removing the petals and munching on the seeds! I guess the birds planted the sunflowers for a reason, snacking! 

Mom was discharged today and transferred to a small Memory Care Unit with skilled nursing, as we hoped. Now she can begin the rehabilitation for her hip that she fractured May 10th. At the ER we learned she had covid and a bit of pneumonia. After the hip operation she needed transfusions. So many things at once, but she was cleared by the Infectious Disease Doctor today, although she needs to continue with antibiotics a little longer. We saw her tonight soon after she arrived at Memory Care and we'll return tomorrow morning.
