Don’t vax poetic…

The latest stroke of genius brought to us by the illustrious Health Dept is that Covid shots will now only be available to those over 65 (whew: I just made the cut off) and young kids and, by exception, those who have one of a limited number of health conditions (to be determined).

The move was justified as a way to give drug companies more time to thoroughly research and study new variations of vaccines for everyone’s safety. Because we all know how much this regime values scientific evidence… It couldn’t possibly be as a concession to the very vocal MAGAts who are mostly anti-vaxers and anti-science, right?

And then there is the whole hoopla about Biden having (somehow) dissimulated the fact that he has prostate cancer and thereby making him a bad leader. So let’s think this through… first, words of encouragement to someone newly diagnosed with a deadly disease might actually be appropriate. Second, even if Biden knew about his diagnosis while was president, he did a hell of a job handling the country’s affairs both internally and internationally: I’ll take that over the current regime any day. Third, one might wonder about the current leader’s state of mind — unhinged comes to mind. Finally, let’s not forget that when there is a concentration of attention on irrelevant topics, it’s often used to distract from something truly important (can you say “big beautiful budget bill” handled by RepuGs in the dead of night to hide the massive losses to the common American?)…
