Dogless Day1

The Crimean Pine, last measured in 2007 standing 30m+. The vertical branches give it's 'organ pipes' nickname.
Truly a tree to lie beneath and appreciate.

Had to get out the house today.
Only we could arrive at an Arboretum surrounded by a thunderstorm!

Thunderstorm skirted round us, but when rain was ominous, we made it to the cafe just in time for the heavens to open. We devoured a cream tea watching it fall.

Rain stopped, we finished off an enjoyable wander, until I had had enough (using stick) and suddenly tired.

Still too early, so we invaded my sister's for coffee and a good chat (and a few tears). Luckily sister is planning a new (another!) kitchen, so that was a good diversion.

Home...and the first time in 30+ years with no dog/s.
