Bad to the bone
Actually, we keep being told he is one of the nicest lads. Its a great feeling to get comments like that - we must have got this parenting thing more or less right.
This is Number 2 son, Jonathan.
No longer a boy! Growing into a young man before our very eyes.
Complaints of boredom from the boys led to a trip into Lagos to look around the shops and pick up a few things. Little did we know that today is a bank holiday here in Portugal. The shuttle bus wasn't running so, to not waste the early(ish) start (for the boys that is) we decided to walk down. It was hitting 30+ deg C when we got there - a tad on the warm side. First stop - drinks overlooking the beach and harbour walls.
We had some lunch while we were there which is when this snap was taken. A fishing trip organised for Monday soon completed but, the remaining task eludes us. So far we haven't been able to get a car hired. The situation seems much worse than two years ago. It could be the end of the month was what we were told. Rather than waste great chunks of the holiday scouring different companies I think we will simply not bother. Would be great to get over to the Atlantic coast beaches with nice rolling waves but its not worth the hassle.
