Pecking order

Mrs. Gambel's quail was pecking at the ground looking for dinner.  She seemed to be finding something in the stones but I have no idea what it could be.  Bugs? Seeds?

I went for my abdominal ultrasound this morning.  The tech seemed to be on a learning curve.  I swear he was going to fracture one of my ribs.  There was a senior tech in the room watching him. When he was finished with the forty minute test, she took over to fix his work for another 20 minutes.  She was much nicer to my ribs.

I had to take another shower when I got home because there was goo everywhere, despite best efforts to wipe it off of my body at the testing site.  We had our Singles birthday luncheon at noon.  I was the last to arrive (I'm supposed to be the first one) because I had gotten home much later than expected.  Lunch was good.  We went to the restaurant at one of the local golf courses called the Coyote Grill.  For some reason, I felt stressed all day so when I finally got home for the day, I sat on the patio and dozed off for a few minutes.  It was pretty hot so that didn't last long.  I spent some time posting my blip and now it's time for the baseball game. Feet up, glass of water by my side, and the guys hopefully beating the LA Dodgers.
