Finished

No.2 has been working in ceramics for a few months now and wanted to make a plaque for Aimee's tree.  He sent me a picture yesterday and was pleased that it hadn't cracked during the firing.  We are planning to scatter some of her ashes under her Maple tree in the garden.......

OH left early for golf (and text me later to say it had taken 2 hours to get through border control in Portugal!!!).  My day was BP then sewing.  I had a list of things that I want to do this week while he is away and top of the list was the linen napkins.  I cut them all out perfectly and started to hem - mastering the mitred corner technique.  Quite pleased but a bit of a faff and my machine was playing up - I would love to have a sewing machine engineer in the cupboard (or a handy neighbour) who could come and sort it out when it goes wrong?  I changed the needle, re-threaded, cleaned the dust and it will still skipping stiches.  Such a pain.  I got three done and they were looking good.........then ran out of thread.  I had bought some of the matching colour but clearly not enough.  Note to self - with sewing projects, always buy enough!!

I sat in my room all evening and continued with another project and some hand sewing wondering if I was becoming a bit obsessed?  Probably.  Am I bovvered?!

Day done.
