Time flew...time stood still
I am back blipping as i hadn't worked the wifi out as it was 3am in the morning when we arrived and was too exhausted with everything we have done to get here.
We are in an ibis hotel in liege Belgium. Which is the busiest all night town ever. We cant believe how many people are out at 2.30 on a wednesday night.
Thank you to the couple in room above us who had the noisiest sex allllllll night. To say loud was an understatement. They must be very fit!! I can't believe husband slept through it!
Our journey here was fabulous. Our crossing took 23 minutes NOT the 50 minutes stated on our tickets. I was just commending myself at not freaking out as I had reached 17 minutes into the journey when husband pointed out the notices were now to go to your cars as we will soon be arriving. I could not believe it. I was so happy I went into chatter overdrive. I thought we were only half way. I really thought we had a further 30 minutes to go and I was starting to wonder how long I could hold off a full on panic attack for. This crossing has completely consumed my life for 3 months now. What a stupid nana I am. I do spoil things for myself. But phobias are phobias and unless you have one you will never understand.
I'm just stunned at how fast the time flew and flew and flew getting closer and closer to my fear...and I was convinced it would then stand still at the worst possible time. All ok in the end and two weeks and a big adventure to be had with my fabulous man before I have to worry about the return. I will try very hard to put it to the back of my mind.
Driving to cologne today xxx
