Posers

I love these little finches - always willing to sit for me (as long as the feeder's full, anyway).
I saw my first Eastern Kingbird today. I took a few quick snaps, but was only vaguely aware it was something different that I would want to look up when I got home. Of course all of the shots were crap. I don't know why I do that. It's like I think: bird-pretty-hmm-picture-go" and that's it. I mean, it was there in the background or I wouldn't have noticed the bird at all - I just didn't listen to it, or take enough time. I did the same with the kestrels and the peregrine falcon.
