Walking around The Hague
After a nice breakfast of pancakes, we visited the art gallery Mauritshuis. A very intimate and cosy gallery, I really liked it. Vermeer and Rembrandt are highlights as you would expect in the Netherlands.
We also visited the Peace Palace. I was unaware the construction was funded by Andrew Carnegie.
A pleasant coincidence…the park I volunteer in every Monday was also a gift from Andrew Carnegie, to his home town, Dunfermline.
Later, we visited the MC Escher museum, I’ve always been impressed his art.
