Puzzle de papillon

Having a day off from galavanting around Scotland and spent part of it working in the garden. I came across this little beauty and had no idea what species it was. Thanks to the internet I've managed to identify it as the Peacock butterfly or Inachis io for the professionals out there. This one seems unable to make its mind up about which wing goes on top.

The fact that I found it means I have to shamefully admit that we have nettles in the garden. Let's just say that it must have come from the wildlife section that we cultivate runs wild at the bottom of the garden.
