Piping Live 2013

The drummers of the Toronto Police Pipe Band in Buchanan Street, Glasgow. Part of a week long international festival leading up to the World Pipe Band Championships on Glasgow Green this Saturday and Sunday.

As it began to rain, the music stopped and the drummers put these black covers over the drum skins. Then the drone and the beat began again. I deliberately choose a slower shutter speed, to get a feeling of movement in the hands and sticks.

In other news, I woke to my phone buzzing away this morning - one of my nieces has got engaged, whilst on holiday in Barcelona. Very exciting, we are all delighted.
