Cuillan's Big Day Out.

Minding my younger grandson today... Sometimes I wonder about my daughter...that she lets me mind him... Collected him at 830am and went to McDonalds in Swords for breakfast...Well he's just gone two so orange juice and a doughnut is fine....well not really but it was his Big Day Out... After that to the toystore for an hour to pick a toy... Then the back of Dublin Airport to watch the planes land and embark...half an hour was enough..Afraid an anorak might manifest itself around my body... Had bought three pans of bread the night before for the swans so we headed to Swords Estuary....He was initially a little fearful as the swans were restless and hungry this morning and kept biting me...but we persevered and soon he had gone through three pans...enjoying a few mouthfuls himself.... I try to ensure he grows up with a healthy respect for animals and birds but no fear... We made our way then to Rogerstown beach, South Shore beach and Rush Harbour beach where we played with his cousins.... A long enjoyable day... Score for the day.....Him: a couple of accidental nips from the birds but no skin broken, a bruised forehead from falling, a soaking from following his older cousin into the sea in his clothes...well if it was ok for his cousin it would be ok for him!! Me: exhausted... Roll on day two tomorrow.
