Snapseeded

... to death :) These are weeds, but I do like these seedheads -- they make me think of jewel clasps. I don't know what they are, but I bet LoJardinier does.

We braved the wasps' nest in the garden this evening for a barbie. It was tranquil and quiet -- the wasps did come out for a brief sortie en masse, causing me to run away screaming, but they quietened down after that, perhaps because of the smoke. They are very aggressive - S has been stung about ten times -- but the wasp trap he put up a few days ago has proved totally ineffective. I would take a photo in the hope of identifying them, but I don't want to get that close.
