Red Admiral

Another cloudy start to the day, which takes quite a bit of time to clear. Quite a busy day at work. Sun appears after coffee. Cool on the morning walk, so don a long sleeve top. Tried to take a photo of Burntisland from Caitstane, but view was quite hazy.

After work, sky was a lot clearer than Tuesday. A light haze over the Pentland Hills. Park was quite busy.with people enjoying the sunshine. On a good note, butterfly corner has made a comeback for this year. A Red Admiral, which had been on a nettle plant, settled on a tree trunk. Last year, I didn't see many of these butterflies, so it is nice to see Red Admirals two days in a row. Also spotted was a small white butterfly and an orange tip butterfly.
