Wood Block Print

Another lovely day, and once again busy. Wood block printing today.

In the print studio first thing for a demonstration, then out on location at Rhue for the cutting of the wood block "en plein air". That was a radical departure. We have made lino cuts and done some wood cut for Provincetown white line prints but never outdoors.

After lunch we spent the afternoon in the print studio making several prints from the wood blocks on various papers. Some plain white, some pre-coloured, and one from a selection of three papers from yesterday morning's exercise. The prints are made with oil based ink.

The blip is my print of Ben Mor Coigach, as seen from Rhue, on a pre-coloured paper.
