Where have all the people gone?

Just come back from a couple of very happy days staying with friends in Devon. House-hunting. I saw a few possibilities and I shall be down there again next week with Sue to try and make some decisions.
Last evening, before dinner, we (friends and I) went down to Seaton for a pre-dinner stroll by the sea. I couldn't believe how deserted it was.
