Another sign
of the changing season.
Colchicum autumnale raised from seed collected in Greece around the Millennium. Colchicum seed has a germination inhibitor which means that the seed germinates over a period of years. It's a slow process but very satisfying when the flowers appear year after year.
Away in Wales for a while, a couple of days early after R was hospitalised on Monday night. Mum and little sister dropped with friends en-route, I spent an uncomfortable night in Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth before bring Ruth back to our base in Tywyn. She's fine now although the stress induced amnesia that took her there gave everyone a bit of a shock. Hoping for a good holiday .... if longer than planned. This blip shot before we knew we were making a dash for it!
