Red Cowslips

I have no idea why they are coloured as they are but each year there arrives in among the yellow ones in our garden a few red cowslips. I cheated slightly with this one, snipping it off and bringing it indoors on account of the strong wind outside. Not to mention the snow flurries and the hailstones and the rain which is falling now as darkness descends.
