Lichen with Fly

I was lurking behind a tree this evening to see if I could spot where Mo the billy goat was managing to wriggle through the hedge and fence. He didn’t oblige but I did have this close encounter with a fly on the lichen covered bark. There’s a silveryness too it so I’ll go for it as my Tiny Tuesday entry. I’ll need to come back with a better camera to look at the intricate detail of the lichen.
Also I heard the other day that a thimbleful of rich soil has as much as 8 billion organisms in it. How about that.
